Teaching prophecy to students is its own challenge. The questions come in sharper, the attention span is shorter, and most of what sits on the shelf assumes an adult in the room.
This guide is built for the person standing in front of that room. It follows The Non-Prophet’s Guide to Prophecy for Young People chapter by chapter, with discussion questions written at the level the group is actually reading.
What the guide covers
- What Is Bible Prophecy?
- Why Is Bible Prophecy Important?
- Who Were the Prophets?
- Your Exciting Future!
- Your Exciting Present!
Questions range from the straightforward to the personal. Some ask a student to explain a difference in their own words. One asks them to put four end-time events in order without looking. Others ask how knowing God holds the future changes the way they live now. You can use them as written or reshape them to fit your group.
The coloring pages and activity sheet
- Five coloring pages of characters and scenes from the book
- A one-page activity sheet: a maze, a box to draw your favorite character, and a “design your own living space” page built on John 14:1-3
- Ready to print for early arrivals, younger students, or a take-home page after the session
The ABC’s of Salvation
The final pages of the guide carry a simple outline of what it means to become a Christian, laid out as A, B and C. It is reproducible, and it is there so that when a student asks the real question you have something to put in their hands.
Read the questions a few days before you meet, pick a theme from the chapter to open with, and walk into the room ready.
If your group has the book and you have this guide, you are set.Â
